Greetings.
It is a pleasure to extend this invitation to attend the 2008 Governor's Conference on Tourism. The conference will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Bangor Civic Center.
The conference provides an opportunity for professional growth and networking with peers. In addition, it should be seen as a celebration of tourism in Maine and the role it plays in our economy. As the largest industry in the state, tourism is a vital source of economic development. Your commitment to strengthening our economy will benefit the quality of life for all Mainers.
Starting with a more affordable cost to participate, there will be a new look and feel to the conference this year. Maine's eight tourism regions will be featured during professional development sessions and even in the Maine food we will enjoy at lunch.
It is my hope that representatives from across the tourism industry will attend and will unite as one strong and resilient team to welcome visitors to Maine.
Thank you for all you do, and I look forward to seeing you in my hometown of Bangor at the 2008 Governor's Conference on Tourism.
Sincerely,

John E. Baldacci
Governor
