The Annual Governor's Conference on Tourism is scheduled for February 2, 2010 at the Augusta Civic Center. Tourism's broad reach helps keep our historical and cultural sites vibrant and alive, and creates recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike. It contributes to the conservation, protection and sustainability of our natural wonders and it provides education and career opportunities for our children. Tourism contributes millions of dollars to Maine's general fund to support education, social and natural resource programs.
